Sizzlo

Tell it what's in your fridge. Get dinner.

Sizzlo turns the random stuff you already have into a real recipe, then shows you where to grab what's missing.

What it does

Five ways in

Start from a cookbook, a recipe link, the fridge, a list of what you have, or a question.

Scan a recipe

A cookbook page or a handwritten card comes back as clean, readable steps.

Photograph your fridge

It reads what is on the shelves and tells you what that makes.

Paste a link

Most recipe pages come back as just their ingredients and steps.

List what you've got

Type a few things you have in and get a recipe that uses them.

Ask the chef

Substitutions, timings, and what to do when something has gone wrong.

A look inside

The app itself

Your first night

Two coins, on the house.

Every new account gets two coins, once. The first run spends them on a real scan of your fridge and one real recipe from what it finds, so you see it work before you pay for anything.

  • One fridge photo, one recipe
  • They never refill, and there is no free plan after
A Sizzlo recipe, Mixed Grilled Chicken Salad: 20 minutes, 570 calories, and a button to add the 7 missing items to the shopping list.

Kitchen

Your fridge, shelf by shelf.

Photograph the fridge and Sizzlo fills in what it sees, or type things in. Every item gets a use-by estimate and a plain label: Fresh, Use soon, Going bad or Expired.

  • Fresh
  • Use soon
  • Going bad
  • Expired
  • Fridge, freezer and pantry, kept apart
  • Use-by estimates from USDA storage times

Chef

Ask what the fridge makes.

The chef knows what is in your kitchen and the recipes you have hearted. Ask it something and it answers with dishes you can open: turn one into a full recipe, or put it on this week's plan.

  • Writing the full recipe is one coin
  • Conversations are kept, so you can pick one up later

Shopping list

Compare stores before you go.

Your list, priced at Kroger, Walmart and Aldi. The prices are estimates, built from US average prices and each store's usual gap, and every one is marked with a ~. When two stores are too close to call, Sizzlo says so instead of picking one.

Beyond the AI

The rest of the kitchen

The AI is the part that runs on coins. Nothing here uses any, so it all works the same on every plan, Core included.

Fridge, freezer and pantry

Everything you have in, with a use-by estimate. It follows your account between phones.

What you've cooked

Finish a recipe and it goes in your week, with its calories. The log stays on your phone.

A shopping list

Add a recipe's ingredients in one tap, or type your own. Tick something off and it goes in the fridge.

This week

Plan breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks by name or from your saved recipes, and add them to your calendar.

Recipes and cookbooks

Scanned, pasted or written in yourself, then sorted into cookbooks you make.

Freshness reminders

A nudge before something goes off. Only if you say yes, and asked after your first recipe, not before.

Cook mode

One step per screen, big enough to read from the stove. Timers keep counting on your Lock Screen.

Tastes and allergies

Sizzlo asks what you can't eat before it writes anything, and treats it as a hard rule.

Say what is in the fridge Pro

Read your shelves out loud instead of typing. It is transcribed on the phone, and the recording never leaves it.

Plans

What it costs

There is no free plan. Core buys the app, and Lite and Pro add the AI on top. Every new account gets two coins, once, so the first run can scan your fridge and write one real recipe before you decide.

Sizzlo's plan screen: Core $12.99 once, Lite $4.99 a month with 250 coins, and Pro $9.99 a month with 1,000 coins, picked.
Invite only

Beta

Free while the beta runs
125 coins, in total

Invited testers get the whole app and a pot of coins to try the AI on, rather than a monthly allowance. It ends when the beta does.

One-time

Core

$12.99 once
No AI

The whole app, bought once: your kitchen, the shopping list, the week plan and your saved recipes. No AI features, and it never renews.

Monthly

Lite

$4.99 a month
250 coins a month

Everything in Core plus the AI, enough for a few photos and questions most days.

Monthly

Pro

$9.99 a month
1,000 coins a month

Four times the coins, plus reading the fridge out loud, setting the chef's tone and recipe length, and meals on Home built from your fridge.

Prices shown are US App Store prices; what you pay is whatever the App Store shows in your own currency. Coins refill each billing cycle and do not carry over. Running out is never charged for: the AI pauses until the next cycle. The Terms of Use have the full detail.

Good to know

Where it stops

Nutrition is an estimate

Good for weighing one dish against another. Treat it as a guide rather than a lab result.

Some sites block reading

Most recipe pages import cleanly. When one refuses, Sizzlo tells you instead of guessing at the recipe.

No ads, no tracking

There are no ad networks and no analytics SDKs in the app. The privacy policy lists every place your data goes.
